The right screen starts before the screen.

Watch the light

Check where sunlight reaches the screen throughout the day. Keep direct sunlight off the screen, including Full Sun TVs.

Measure the setting

Allow for the exact TV footprint, VESA pattern, ventilation and cable access. Keep both the TV and its external AC plug at least 10 feet from water sources. Use a qualified installer for electrical and mounting requirements.

Plan for the seasons

Follow the exact model’s operating range and care instructions. Do not leave the TV outside near freezing. Store it somewhere dry, climate-controlled and above freezing during the off-season.

Can I just put a regular TV outside?

We highly recommend an outdoor-rated TV. Your living-room TV wasn’t built for moisture, dust and changing outdoor temperatures—and daylight can leave its picture difficult to see. A covered patio doesn’t eliminate those concerns.

Does Full Sun mean unrestricted direct sunlight?

No. Full Sun is MirageVision’s family classification. Keep direct sunlight off the screen, including Full Sun models. Compare exact sustained brightness, screen angle and changing light; no model is a promise of zero glare.

Can I leave it outside all year?

Keep ventilation clear and cover the TV when idle. Shut it down, cover it and move it indoors before adverse weather. Do not operate during electrical storms, heavy or prolonged rain, or snow. Do not leave it outside near freezing. Store it somewhere dry, climate-controlled and above freezing during the off-season.

What should I confirm about delivery?

Confirm the eligible destination, service level, access requirements and any additional services with Backyard Solstice before ordering. Installation is not included. Inspect immediately on arrival and report shipping damage or missing components immediately, before installation. MirageVision’s limited warranty excludes screen or cabinet damage once installed or 24 hours after receipt. This manufacturer warranty condition does not replace the applicable Backyard Solstice return policy or your legal rights.

What does the limited warranty require?

Your one-year parts-and-labor limited warranty starts at delivery and covers normal residential use, subject to its terms. Register with MirageVision within 30 days after the original purchase and keep the dated receipt. Authorized service requires an RMA, the specified documents, accessories and adequate packaging. You pay inbound freight and shipping insurance; return freight within the United States is provided for an approved covered repair or replacement. Review the complete manufacturer warranty and applicable Backyard Solstice return policy before ordering.
