Some pool days are more conversation than nap. The Signature Chair gives you an upright, high-back place to sit with a book or catch up with whoever claims the seat beside you. Its base configuration fits a flat sun shelf with 0–9 inches of water, and it can also be used on deck.

Stay part of the conversation

Start here if you prefer sitting upright to stretching out. This is the Signature Chair, not the separate Lowback model. If your ideal afternoon involves a fixed recline, compare the Signature Chaise for the same shallow-water range.

The listing includes one chair in your selected color. A Chair Riser, pillows, the removable Signature Chair Shade and side tables are separate. Choose the posture first, then decide what else your spot needs.

Give the chair room to belong

The chair is 20 inches wide and 43.5 inches long overall, with a 34.5-inch supporting footprint. Check those measurements against the usable ledge and leave space for access, neighboring seats and pool-cleaning equipment. A footprint fitting on paper is only the start of a comfortable arrangement.

Measure straight down from the normal waterline to the flat ledge at several points under the proposed position. The chair alone is rated for up to 9 inches. Beyond that, review the Signature Chair Riser and confirm the exact compatible depth band before ordering. Do not assume that any riser will fit.

Our tanning-ledge measurement guide will help you gather the details. If you want a recline on a deeper ledge, the Signature Chaise Deep is rated for water up to 15 inches.

A little setup, then a seat at the gathering

Follow the manufacturer’s pool-water fill-and-plug instructions. The published weight is 33 lbs empty and approximately 133 lbs filled, so choose the position before filling and plan how you will drain or move it for maintenance.

Think about the view and the conversation as well as the dimensions. Facing another seat may suit catching up; a quieter corner may suit reading. Your book does not need to agree with anyone’s poolside playlist.

Keep it ready for the next conversation

For routine care, use fresh water and a soft-bristle brush or cloth. For deeper cleaning, remove the chair from the pool and use a mild household cleaner and an eraser sponge. Use a calcium-removal product for calcium buildup and avoid abrasive tools that can damage the finish.

Before winter weather arrives

Remove the furniture from the pool, drain it completely and store it indoors when temperatures will be below 33°F for more than 6 hours, or when the pool is winterized and covered for winter weather. Follow the manufacturer’s winter-care instructions before those conditions arrive.

Warranty

Ledge’s limited warranty covers manufacturing defects for 15 years in residential use and 10 years in commercial use. Residential coverage for cracking, splitting, peeling or rotting is 10 years; plastic color-fading coverage is 5 years and subject to the manufacturer’s defined threshold. We are really happy with our chairs! I obsessed over what color to buy. I wanted white, but was worried about the upkeep since our pool sits under pecan trees and the harsh central Texas sun. My sales rep was really helpful walking me through what the cleaning process would be and helping me decide. We are six months into owning our white chairs and they look as clean as the day they arrived with very little upkeep. They don’t float or shift on the ledge even with the bubblers at full blast, but it’s easy to adjust their placement as needed. We prefer to buy products that are made in the U.S. and we’re really happy to have found ledge lounger.

Go for the chairs!

We had a hard time deciding between the signature chaise or chairs for our pool’s sun ledge. The chaises look so fabulous but we decided on the chairs for functionality and couldn’t be happier. They are perfect for sitting, your legs stay nice and cool in the water, and you don’t have to hold your book/phone/tablet at an awkward position while reading because you aren’t reclined backward. We just pulled our white chairs out from storage for our second season and they look as new as when we first got them. They look really nice in the pool too.

Worth the price

We purchased two of these chairs for the sun shelf in our pool. They are durable and withstand all types of weather. We intentionally chose the shorter model so that the chairs would sit lower in the water and gently rock. They sit opposite each other under an umbrella on the sun shelf and are the perfect way to read, chat, or have a drink in the pool without actually being IN the pool. My only recommendation would be to purchase pillows. The chairs can be hard to sit on for long periods of time. However, with a proper headrest, it is possible to sit and rock the afternoon away.
